The Hawkwynd Radio Story

Hawkwynd Radio began in 2020 in a garage in White House, Tennessee. It is a product of my hobby turned obsession, turned magical entity.

The quest for music excellence was spawned from the lack of a commercial-free open source streaming service that has one primary goal. To play the very best music I enjoy and share it with someone else. I learned recently that in order to get it, you have to give it away as freely as I received it. An oath of sorts these days.

To realize the impact Hawkwynd Radio can have on the listener was a revelation that opened my eyes to a whole new world of music, and it’s power and influence to change lives, remove fear, instill love and replay years old memories. A very simple thing that binds friendships, transcends race, color, creed or gender.

To be able to play music this moving and powerful is a joy I’ve recently experienced for the first time in my life, and each day expands my mind in the vast and broad realm of music. To learn new artists’ talents and discover their history and how they changed the world has become fascinating and entertaining as well as educational.

It is my sincere hope that this website will give you some of the inside looks at Hawkwynd Radio, and it’s quirky story of how it became such a part of my life that cast me into a sea of new horizons and took me to lands far, far away. Beautiful and amazing.
