Hawkwynd Radio Overview
This is an overview of the hardware used for Hawkwynd Radio. I have 3 computers which service the radio station.
Soapbox
Soapbox is the machine which hosts the liquidsoap script, and acts as the client to the shoutcast server for broadcasting Hawkwynd Radio to the internet. It is a small form factor machine, running Ubuntu 16LTS, with 4GB of ram and hard drives. I received this computer as a donation from Doug, my son in law in 2019.
In addition to liquidsoap, (Jarvis), it runs Apache and MySQL for many internal functions that maintain the playlists, scheduling and randomization of music functions for the “Musical Trifecta” which plays throughout the day.

Greystone
Greystone is the live broadcast computer which is running Mint Linux Cinnamon. It is a 2008 Dell Inspiron 530 desktop PC with Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz and only 3GB RAM.
The storage for this computer is 2 1TB sata hard drive, a low-cost windows converted box that runs quite well under Minux Linux 20.

Minty Fresh
Minty Fresh is my Macbook Pro, 2015, converted to Mint linux. It is the machine used to update Telegram, Google Voice chats, and website development as well as other programming work.
